As the population of Europe becomes more diverse both through internal EU movement and immigration from outside, so our adult education classes become more diverse. There are different ways you can make your teaching effective across cultures by making yourself more culturally aware, by making your teaching more culturally responsive and by making full use of the diversity in the room. We can point you to different ways you can make your teaching more culturally responsive:
- Watch the video above for a 30 minute introduction to culturally responsive teaching
- Search through our podcast archives for specific topics.
- Join our Facebook page for new perspectives, discussions and ideas.
- Or apply for EU funding to attend our Teaching Culture course through a European Development plan in your institution.
Learn more about culturally responsive teaching (CRT) through our Teaching Culture course. This 5-day residential course in Denmark is aimed at adult educators in Europe who wish to make their teaching more culturally responsive.
I will be exploring some of the issues involved in applying culturally responsive teaching (CRT) in adult education through a series of blog posts on annefox.eu.
