Today\u2019s show is about the culture of \u201cfake news\u201d. Is this really a new phenomenon? Well, in today\u2019s episode, we interview students from three different cultures about their experiences of fake news and how they personally define it and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1604658\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">live with fake news<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>absolutely unbelievable<br \/><\/strong>In our first part, Natalia Obikhod from Ukraine, claims that fake news, even with the best intentions, is still a lie and as such, should not be acceptable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>absolutely entertaining<br \/><\/strong>In our second part, Saba Vashklevichi suggests that deep down we probably really enjoy the entertainment of fake news in the media.<\/p>\n<p><strong>absolutely influential<br \/><\/strong>In our last category, Dong Hui Kim from South-Korea explains how the internet has<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/nicolemartin1\/2018\/11\/30\/how-social-media-has-changed-how-we-consume-news\/?sh=69346133c3ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> democratized publishing<\/a>, which means our culture now allows everybody to spread their news \u2013 real or of fake.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, none of our guests claimed that fake news is a new phenomenon, apparently, only the term is new but we have all been exposed to stories, which were meant to change our behaviour (but turned out to be untrue in the end).
