We will discover how an industrial container from Hamburg has become the home for two Germans, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usc.edu.au\/staff-repository\/dr-uwe-terton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Uwe Terton<\/a> (lecturer at the University of the Sunshine Coast) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katrinterton.com\/about-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Katrin Terton<\/a> (media artist). They have chosen a very simple and sustainable lifestyle, free from water or electricity bills, far from the busy and \u201cstressful\u201d life in the modern cities. In the second part, we will go inside the container and we will discover how to use smart ideas to live comfortably but in a sustainable way. And finally we learn how the couple used recycled materials in the construction of the container-home.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><strong>absolutely compact<br \/>\n<\/strong>In our first category \u201cabsolutely compact\u201d, Uwe will explain how for the first four months he and his wife had to live in a tiny little caravan from the 1970\u2019s until their container-home was ready to move into.<\/p>\n<p><strong>absolutely self-sufficient<br \/>\n<\/strong>In the second category \u201cabsolutely self-sufficient\u201d, Uwe will give us a guided tour of the inside of the container home and we learn about some simple but smart ideas about saving water and energy and how he adopted a smart system of ventilation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>absolutely recycled<br \/>\n<\/strong>In our third category, \u201cabsolutely recycled\u201d, Uwe will share how he used second-hand materials in the construction of the container-house in order to give those used materials a second life.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all who joined us for today\u2019s show.
